Keffi through my lens..

Hey guys!!

Hope you all are having an amazing week so far and having a great time as the holiday and the end of the month of march approaches.

For this post I am so happy to finally be posting a few selected pictures I took a while ago, so the story behind what your about to see started when I went back home (Nigeria) for the summer holiday, and at this time I had just got a new camera as well as a few different lenses to go with it so as expected I was super hyped, on this particular day I was more or less idle and learnt that my dad planned to visit the neighbouring town (Keffi- estimated population of 92,664 (2006)) to check up on a few projects and myself knowing that this town was more rural than a lot of places I ever got to see in Nigeria I thought this was a great opportunity to go along and take pictures of the people and their surroundings (I don't think I have mentioned this before but one aspect of photography I enjoy and admire most is photojournalism I just feel that it truly captures more than just the moment - I will get into that maybe another time :).

So! I got everything ready and off we were on the road, this trip took about 53 minuets I would say depending on traffic, so as we arrived I began to take pictures of the people on the street inside the moving car, actually most pictures I took that day was inside the car mainly for security reasons, it was a cloudy, partly sunny day and everyone went about their business and normal routine. However I was more than lucky to capture these pictures and I am so glad I can share them with you and really hope you like them- ALSO! I want to say a big thank you again to everyone who takes time to actually view this blog constantly the views just keep increasing and I am so grateful considering I am still learning :D.

Finally I would also like to share two quotes on photography that I always have in mind when taking pictures which inspire me :)

Hope you enjoy this and please please please feel free to leave any comments or even contact me..

Thanks for stopping by!

Beauty can be seen in all things, seeing and composing the beauty is what separates the snapshot from the photograph- Matt Hard.

A good photograph is one that communicates a fact, touches the heart and leaves the viewer a changed person for having seen it. It is, in a word, effective- Irving Penn.
