A Blast From The Past

Hey Guys!!!

I hope you all are having an amazing summer!, mine has been great, i will soon be going back to university for my final year and i am so excited, my summer has been short but relaxing, compared to the stressful uni life its always nice to get away for a bit.

Today's post is going to be a little blast from the past as the title suggests, these are a few pictures i took a while ago i would say like 3/4 years ago in London, i never got to make a post on here about it however i did share them on my Instagram page which you can follow at  @dgadzamaphotography :D.

So the vibe behind this was social documentary and originally i had wanted to edit them all into black and white and make them have an "olden days vibe" but for a few of them i decided to leave them as they where.

So there you are guys just a bit of photography from a while ago.

Thanks for stopping by guys!!

My Keys to a Happier & Healthier life

Hey Guys!!

I hope you guys are having an amazing summer!

Today I wanted to talk about something I have recently been reflecting on and I thought maybe a few of you would find this useful especially if you are going through tough times.

These are my opinions of keys to a better and healthier life, I feel that as you grow older and you begin to understand these much clearer, you begin to live a better, happier version of yourself.

Patience
This can be defined as the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, problems, or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious.
In life I believe that patience is key, a lot of great things take time to happen and only through patience can you reap the full benefits. As each year comes by I learn to be more patient with everything I do or am expecting, when you are not patient it may ultimately lead to burnout, paranoia, insomnia, and even stress.
Tip: During stages I feel stressed I find it useful to meditate or occupy my mind with something else.
“Never cut a tree down in the wintertime. Never make a negative decision in the low time. Never make your most important decisions when you are in your worst moods. Wait. Be patient. The storm will pass. The spring will come”

Optimism
Optimism is simply the hopefulness and confidence about the future or the success of something.
This is one that I feel very much about, when I was much younger I was never optimistic about anything and I spent my days angry and down about pretty much anything and as each year came by after that phase I became more optimistic about everything and from practicing that I find a lot of good and happy outcomes coming my way.
I guess you can describe this as a form of “The law of attraction”, for those who are not familiar with this topic I actually have a post on this and I shall put a link below, but essentially I found that the more positive I became about situations that didn’t seem to have positives outcomes, the more they successfully came to pass. Being optimistic has so many benefits and to be fair who wants to store all that anger inside themselves, life is too short to be down all the time.
“Optimism is the madness of insisting that all is well when we are miserable.”

Determination
This can be seen as the ability to continue trying to do something, although it is very difficult.
In life everyone should strive for an attitude of determination in all they do because with every task comes responsibility, bumps and the need for determination to successfully complete it. When you are determined you picture the outcome and develop a strategy to get there, a lot of times we are held back by laziness and procrastination and this leads to failure or settling for less.
So I urge you to not lay back and settle for anything less than you deserve strive for your best and adopt the attitude of determination and direction.
“Desire is the key to motivation, but its determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal - a commitment to excellence - that will enable you to attain the success you seek.”

Forgiveness
This is the act of putting aside the wrong doings of people against you, in other words  to stop feeling anger towards someone.
My mother always told me to never go to bed angry at someone, when I was younger I had an argument with a friend of mine in primary school because of something rude she had said to me, then of course I was filled with anger and would not accept her apologies however several times she had tried to I was too stubborn and since then our friendship died, of course I forgave her but not to her face and now I am older I look back at how ridiculous it was and how I spent those days angry at what I may see now as a silly argument.

As you go through life you find that not everything goes your way, there may be people who don’t agree with you, people who offend you intentionally, and instead of holding that in for a long time like I did you just need to let it go and once all that anger in your heart and mind is at ease you will feel a lot better.
"We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love. There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us. When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies". Martin Luther King, Jr.

Bodiam Castle

Hey guys!!

So today is a photography blog, I have no idea why I did not post this a long time ago as I took them about 3 years back, anyways If you’ve seen my first photography blog I mentioned and you may remember that one of my A-Levels subject’s at college was Photography, and this trip to Bodiam castle which is located at Bodiam, Robertsbridge, East Sussex TN32 5UA this trip was actually with my Photography class and of course our tutor, we were a very small A2 photography class with only 4-5 students, pictures were actually part of our project for an exhibition and we had to wake up by 5 every morning for 4 or 5 days If I remember correctly.

So we’d wake up get ready go down to the bus, drive up to Bodiam castle which was about 15 mins by drive from my college, and the whole idea was to get as many pictures of the castle for this exhibition happening within the castle I believe, we were able to get pictures when it was cloudy, raining , clear blue skies, sunny and foggy which was probably the worst because it was so cold and I felt so sleepy.

We were able to go into the castle one time and take some shots, it was really beautiful and when we had finished we selected with the help of our Tutor (Ms. P) the best shots, edit them and prepare them for the exhibition, but the crazy thing was that I didn’t even get to see the exhibition because it was on a school night and I stayed in a boarding school in Hastings and they would not let us out for anything around that time but we got positive feedback about the pictures displayed. Below are some of my chosen exhibition pictures alongside some more that I liked.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures guys and you are always free to leave comments and if you would like to see some more photography follow my Instagram page at – dgadzamaphotography

Camden Town Adventures

Hey guys!!

So recently I visited the beautiful Camden town with a few of my friends from college Rubina, Victoria, Anna, Vini, Isa and her boyfriend Matt, it was so good to see them because we all go to different universities so whenever we meet up its always great fun.

We spent two nights, 3 days in Camden, the first thing we did was visit the Camden market which was one of my highlights, mind you this was my first time being there and it was so beautiful, unusual, colourful and vibrant.

There were clothing shops where you could find the most simplest of clothing like t-shirts and hoodies to the most outrageous shops like ones dedicated to Bob Marley, they had food stand’s everywhere so imagine smelling all the good food whilst strolling along the streets, to sum up Camden town it has a very hipster vibe to it.

After we explored a bit we stopped over at honest burgers to grab some lunch, you guys NEED! To find an honest burger restaurant closest to you I promise you they serve the most amazing burgers and by far it was the best veggie burger(the only veggie one on the menu so I didn’t really have a choice but it was so worth it) I had ever tasted and my friends thought the same about theirs as well below is a picture of my meal, I had it with a side of chips and you guys the chips tasted just as good, I had it with some lemonade and I kid you not even this was the best lemonade I had ever had it was so refreshing and of course the Brazilians Isa and Vini opted for their beloved coke :P. But for real you guys I definitely recommend honest burgers 100%.

For the rest of the afternoon we walked around some more and explored Camden, we found a little outside pub with an Alice in wonderland theme were we had some drinks, there was a live performer, we relaxed, had a chance to catch up, explored some more, photo booth goodness of course, again it was really good seeing them and for the first time ever I and Isadora finally got to watch Harry Potter from the beginning CAN YOU BELIEVE WE HAD NEVER SEEN IT, I honestly wondered what I was busy doing during my childhood.

So you guys I really do recommend finding the time whenever you’re in London to go explore Camden town, it was such a lively place and I really enjoyed being with the guys and having a great time. Below are a few more pictures I took I’m sorry for the poor quality guys I took these with my phone because I stupidly forgot to take my camera the entire time, Hope your all having a great summer anyways.

PS. DON’T FORGET TO CHECK OUT HONEST BURGERS WHEN YOU CAN ;P.
